Establishing the Company:
Rescue 8 Education & Training Division INC. was founded under Artelle EMS Training & Consulting, which was established in November 2007. Our owner and founder, Saquan Gholar, decided to rename the business in late 2016 and contributed more services such as Security Services, an Public Safety Academy for the youth.
About Our Owner:
Saquan M. Gholar is a distinguished public safety professional with over 22 years of experience in the Fire Service. He has served as an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Coordinator for three departments, where he managed daily EMS operations and trained countless first responders. With more than 17 years of experience in law enforcement and security, Saquan is a multifaceted leader who has dedicated his career to saving lives and empowering communities.
His diverse skill set includes CPR and First Aid instruction, arson investigations, instructor development, lifeguarding, patrol, and managing EMS systems. Saquan is currently serving as a Law Enforcement Officer, Firefighter, CEO of Rescue 8 EMS, Education & Training Divisions, Professor of EMS, and Lifeguard. He remains actively engaged in EMS, continuing to serve on the frontlines.
He also serves as Director of Security for Treefarm Estate and Vice President on the Calumet Park School Board District 132, where he is a strong advocate for youth development and safety education.
In 2006, Saquan’s inspirational life story—rising from a high school dropout to a respected leader in public safety—was featured in the Chicago Defender newspaper. His journey stands as a powerful testament to resilience, service, and leadership.
